Farmhouse dining table – The dining room is one of the elements leading to any space. That’s where you eat, convives and even work if you have a study. A dining table made of solid wood can be worth several thousand dollars. A table of plywood, for example Ikea, although it is cheaper, it can also be worth a few hundred dollars. Build your own table is much cheaper.
There are two options for building the surface of the farmhouse dining table: A retrieved door or a table of medium density fiberboard (MDF). The doors solid and hollow come in standard measures 78, 80 and 82 inches tall (198.12, 203.2 and 208.28 cm) by 32, 34 and 36 inches wide (81.28, 86.36 and 91.44 cm); MDF comes in sheets of 4 x 8 feet (121.92 x 243.84 cm) and 3/4 inch thick (1.9 cm) and can be cut into any shape you want: rectangular, square, circular, oblong, and so on .The surface of the table you choose will depend on the space you have. A retrieved, for example, door will only work in a large room due to its length. With the MDF, you are more likely to construct a table that fits in the space you have.
Choosing the legs of your table depends on whether you want to be in the way corners or pedestal under the farmhouse dining table. For a pedestal table, Murray Anderson suggests two cable reels (large wooden spools used for winding the power cord), placed on their sides, one above the other.
